We are two 30 somethings who have decided to retreat from the rat race into a coffee caravan. Well almost. We bought the caravan about a year and a half ago. We love coffee, we wanted to make our own way, we are hard working and have reasonably functioning brains, (once the caffeine kicks in). Why not have our own little business. This seemed like a sensible entry point. For the first six months we ran it on the weekends only. Now we are taking it to the world, nah ha ha. Well at least Wellington, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt and the Wairarapa occasionally.
We've been asked to do so many events in the summer that we are finally getting a second mobile response unit. There's an ambulance coming. And it's going to be rescuing at an event near you.
Recently we've rescued a wedding at Scorching Bay, pics above. Guests started arriving at 7am and the ceremony was at 7:30am. We had a blast and a lot of coffee was consumed. Many fit cycling types so many more long blacks than usual. A great venue, perfect weather. We were chuffed to be asked to be there. We'd love to rescue more weddings if you have one coming up. The bride said she showed the photo to a guy at work and he immediately called his future wife to say let's do it too. But it was not to be. A little red caravan with aspirations of being a fire engine isn't everyone's idea of the ideal wedding accoutrement.
We've caffeinated the local council's staff end of year event, a 40th wedding anniversary, a Winstone Aggregates quarry open day. The quarry open day was one of the best events ever. Henry and Bella got to work a real digger. H tooted the air horns on a huge truck and climbed into the cab of many vehicles. Really cool to go to thanks Winstone.
Phew my first blog is done. Now I need to think of something to say in the next. Hmm
